The ACS725 is provided in a small, low-profile surface-mount SOIC8 package. The leadframe is plated with 100% matte tin, which is compatible with standard lead (Pb) free printed circuit board assembly processes. Internally, the flip-chip device is considered Pb-free. However, the solder bump connections are available in a Pb-free or high-temperature Pb-based option. Part numbers followed by -S are manufactured with tin-silver-based solder bumps, making these parts Pb-free compliant without the use of RoHS exemptions.
